C.A.K.E. Performance
Students in grades kindergarten through four at St. Helen School put on a Christmas musical called C.A.K.E., featuring the fourth-grade class. CAKE stands for “Christmas Acts of Kindness Experiment.” The musical focused on celebrating the season by doing acts of kindness. Characters in the play learned that when they extend God’s love to those around them, they act as the proof of His love for everyone.
St. Helen students have been working hard to be examples of God’s love with acts of kindness this year. So far this school year, they have raised $1045.12 in change collected for global charities, collected 25 boxes filled of non-perishable food items donated to Burton Food Pantry and collected over 200 pairs collected of gloves, socks and hats for Little Annie’s Hope Train. In addition, 53 students were recognized by staff for the monthly virtue challenges. St. Helen hopes to change the world by its love and kindness. Merry Christmas.
