Firefighter Visits
St. Helen preschool through second-grade students enjoyed a visit with firefighter Jeremy Sustar on Oct. 3. The students learned about fire safety at home and school. The visit ended with a tour of the Newbury ladder truck.
Pet Blessing
Students brought their pets to school on Oct. 4 for a special pet blessing to celebrate the feast of St. Francis. This year the tradition brought pets of all types, including snakes, tortoises, rabbits, cats and dogs.
