St. Helen students in grades 5-8 have been working hard the past two months on their science fair projects. Last week they were able to present their projects to local community member judges.
Junior high science teacher Clara Schous guided the students through the principles of the scientific method. The opportunity provided the students with an experience to develop critical thinking, problem-solving, time management and communication skills. The students were excited to share their findings and have already started to think about next year’s project.
Several students will be advancing to the next level at the Northeast Ohio Science and Engineering Fair in March at Cleveland State University.
