Safe Parades at West Geauga

On May 28, students had the opportunity to wave goodbye to their teachers in a drive-by processional at Lindsey and Westwood elementary schools. Staff members stood at an appropriate social distance and yelled to students and parents as they drove past.

Each parade was scheduled for one and one-half hours and had a constant flow of cars. The Chester and Russell police and fire departments assisted with the celebrations.

The West Geauga High School has a parade for the seniors planned for June 4 at 7 p.m. Students will be led by Chester police and fire departments south on state Route 306 from St. Anselm to the West Geauga Main Campus. All participants will remain in their cars for the safety of everyone at the event.

In addition, the West Geauga Class of 2020 commencement video will be shown at the Mayfield Drive-in Theater on June 14. Tickets will be required for the event.
