National Merit Recognition
Three students from West Geauga High School were awarded commended scholar status by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation based on their scores on the PSAT. Commended scholars represent approximately the top three percent of students who take the nationwide exam.
They are Ryan McGinnis, son of Sean McGinnis and Laura McGinnis; Noah Carty, son of Matthew Carty and Kiersti Critchfield; and Lauren Kercher, daughter of Eric Kercher and Angela Kercher.
According to Dr. Rich Markwardt, superintendent, “We are proud of these outstanding students. Their efforts will serve them well throughout life.”
