Sheriff’s Report
September 14, 2017

The following is a sampling of the calls handled by the Geauga County Sheriff’s Office Sept. 1-7, 2017. In total, the sheriff’s office handled 486 calls during this seven-day period.

AGENCY ASSIST

Sept. 7

2:29 p.m., GAR Highway, Montville. The caller’s kids get dropped off by the bus at the neighbor’s house due to safety concerns with traffic. The neighbor came out yelling at them today telling them that they were trespassing. The caller would like to meet with a deputy to try to resolve this issue. The neighbor is new and seems to be uncooperative.

ANIMAL PROBLEM

Sept. 3

10:11 p.m., Tavern Road, Parkman. Cow in the road. Deputy met with Amish on the roadway. They were able to catch the beef cow and pen it up, and said they were not sure whose cow it is, but will find out in the morning.

SUSPICIOUS

Sept. 3

3:46 p.m., Clark Road, Chardon. Male keeps finding glass by his chicken coop. Complainant found broken glass around his chicken coop. Complainant has history of problems with the neighbor and feels he may have placed it there. Glass photographed and kept by complainant. Game cameras or security system suggested. Complainant will go to court to seek an amendment to his protection order. Property line walked and on a roadway additional glass on the neighbor’s property was found. It appears that there was some garbage as there all different sorts of debris on roadway.
