SUSPICIOUS

Nov. 13

5:12 p.m., Colburn Road, Chardon. Female activated her medical pendant; upon contact the female said there was a burglar in the home. Deputy advised. Female states she heard a whisper and then heard glass break. Deputies checked the residence and located a broken mason jar in the “root cellar”. Nothing else suspicious located.

Nov. 16

7:44 a.m., White Road, Burton. Off duty officer came home to find a maroon Jeep Commander in his driveway near his shop. He has walked the property and checked the building. He did not locate anyone. The complainant has to leave but would like a phone call with the deputy’s findings. Dispatch believes a customer dropped his vehicle off at the wrong address to have repairs done. Complainant was advised that the vehicle was dropped off at the wrong location to be fixed.

VANDALISM

Nov. 13

3:54 p.m., McCall Road, Parkman. Caller states his truck was vandalized in his garage sometime during the past week. Someone sprayed something on the hood. Unknown who would have done this. No signs of forcible entry, man door to garage was unlocked. Deputy responded. It was determined the tire shine wheel wax sitting on the shelf next to the vehicle caused the damage. It’s believed temp caused the bottle to dispense.

WEAPON OFFENSE

Nov. 17

3:09 p.m., Bell St., Newbury. Caller’s neighbors are shooting at this address and occasionally he will shoot exploding targets. Caller is concerned that the neighbor may be a “felon” and is not allowed to own firearms. He does now know his name and has no reason to believe this other than appearance. Caller refused to leave contact information. Deputy responded. No shooting upon arrival. Spoke with residents who stated that there is a range with a large backstop in the back of the property. Parties were very cooperative and were advised of complaint.
