The following is a sampling of the calls handled by the Geauga County Sheriff’s Office Nov. 16-22, 2018. In total, the sheriff’s office handled 291 calls during this seven-day period.

ASSAULT

Nov. 17

10:31 p.m., Chardon Road, Chardon. Caller reports a customer attacked the cook. Male is hitting other people as he’s walking out the door. Kirtland PD advised. Report taken; charges to be filed.

FRAUD

Nov. 16

3:12 p.m., Ravenna Road, Newbury. Caller is reporting the house she owned, a tenant used a fraud name. Illuminating Company account opened in fraudulent name from 2013-2015. Total amount is $14,028.69.

THEFT

Nov. 17

4:19 p.m., Kinsman Road, Newbury. Caller went to Geauga Pawn shop and found her jewelry for sale. Deputy advised. Report taken.

Nov. 21

11:06 a.m., GAR Highway, Montville. Have a male subject on camera stealing items from the store. Happened a week ago. Deputy advised; report taken.

Nov. 22

10:25 p.m., S. Springdale Avenue, Middlefield. Theft from Wal-Mart. Female arrested for theft, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, criminal trespass and possessing drug abuse instrument.
