The following is a sampling of the calls handled by the Geauga County Sheriff’s Office Dec. 21-27, 2018. In total, the sheriff’s office handled 293 calls during this seven-day period.

CITIZEN ASSIST

Dec. 21

8:30 a.m., Butternut Road, Munson. There is something in my house and it looks like it is behind my couch. The grids are off the windows. It’s small, black and hopping around behind the couch. Small squirrel UTL. Number for pest control was given to homeowner.

Dec. 22

12:52 a.m., Ravenna Road, Claridon. Transport male to his residence. Male is not intoxicated per ER staff. Transported male to his house.

FRAUD

Dec. 21

12:43 p.m., Newcomb Road, Parkman. Caller believes customer used counterfeit money. Report taken. Vehicle and license plate obtained. Female arrested.

HARASSMENT

Dec. 21

9:19 a.m., Kinsman Road, Newbury. Male keeps coming into pizza parlor and harassing caller. He has left in green Chevy truck and went toward Middlefield. Complainant said he has been harassing her for about two weeks. Complainant said she would like him contacted and advised she does not wish to have anymore contact with him.

PROPERTY DAMAGE

Dec. 22

7:53 p.m., Adams Road, Middlefield. Vehicle is stuck in caller’s yard. Possibly a silver van. Caller’s husband is now outside with the vehicle. Two males ran on foot, north on 528. No description of males. Caller back on the line stating owner of the vehicle is at her house stating his vehicle was stolen. Report taken.

SUSPICIOUS

Dec. 21

2:38 p.m., Nash Road, Parkman. Men in store acting suspicious. They are buying Amish clothing. Deputy arrived on scene and met with owner. Reviewed the bills and found they appeared to be real. Suspicious party left prior to deputy’s arrival.

Dec. 23

7:53 a.m., Sawmill Drive, Hambden. On caller’s security camera he has at 3 a.m. this morning someone tried to gain entry into his home.

Dec. 25

1:25 p.m., Rock Creek Road, Thompson. Someone has been leaving trails of toilet paper on the property getting close to home. Caller would like advice on his rights. Unknown persons have been on his property. Advice given for increased security measures.

Dec. 27

3:09 p.m., Kinsman Road, Middlefield. Black SUV unknown make with three males inside wearing black mask. The car was stopped on the road on Hayes south of Kinsman. GOA/UTL.

THEFT

Dec. 23

11:12 p.m., Kinsman Road, Middlefield. Caller says she had a male over at her residence around 3:30 a.m. on Dec. 23. She does not know him well; she had just met him that night. She checked her purse this morning and there was $450 missing. He left while she was sleeping. Male drives a small black pickup truck. She has his phone number.

THREATENING

Dec. 26

11:27 a.m., Chardon Windsor Road, Hambden. Male was let go for violating a policy. He went off and made statements about blowing the place up.

TRAFFIC CONTROL

Dec. 23

9:01 p.m., Heath Road, Chester. Anonymous female stating she’s going to break the traffic laws and go home. Caller refused to give her information. Traffic hazard being reported by same female. Female called yelling profanities stating she’s walking down U.S. 322. Detail deputies are working on traffic issue.
