The following is a sampling of the calls handled by the Geauga County Sheriff’s Office March 26-April 1, 2021.

AGENCY ASSIST

March 27

3:35 p.m., Ledge Road, Madison. Caller advised she reported a theft last week and received tips on Facebook regarding the theft. They currently have him blocked in a driveway with the stolen property.

ANIMAL PROBLEM

March 27

9:14 a.m., Bridge Creek Trail, Auburn. Neighbor’s dog came onto their property and killed their cat. Happened last week. Neighbor already was aware of the incident and helped caller bury the cat. Caller wanted incident documented and was told to contact the dog warden’s office.

12:34 p.m., Mulberry Road, Munson. Neighbors’ geese and ducks keep coming on caller’s property. Made contact with neighbor and he was advised he needs to keep his ducks and chickens on his property or he would be issued a citation for animal at large.

BURGLARY

March 29

2:15 p.m., Aquilla Road, Claridon. House across from Aquilla Village. Two kids cutting the screen and crawling in. Deputy responded. Two in custody.

CITIZEN DISPUTE   

March 27

6:48 p.m., Loring Avenue, Aquilla. Caller is upset because he bought a motor and when he got it home to work on it, it didn’t work. He then drove back to speak with the seller and attempted to get money back. However, seller told him to get off his property. Caller advised it was a civil matter.

March 29

8:53 p.m., Ravenna Road, Auburn. Female will not leave. She took her drunk husband home and came back and is sitting in her car because they will not serve her anymore and are trying to close. Deputy responded to woman’s home and spoke with her and her husband. They were advised the bar does not want them to come back. They said they understood.

DRUGS

March 30

7:39 p.m., Woodbury Drive, Newbury. Three Ziplock bags of marijuana found in a ditch. Marijuana seized for destruction. No suspects.

ROAD RAGE

March 28

7:28 p.m., Madison Road, Middlefield. Caller advised he was driving south on Madison Road and a female passed him and brake-checked him and flipped him off. He advised the female pulled into a driveway and he stopped to see what her problem was. He advised female starting writing down his plate so he left. Caller asked incident to be documented. Caller told he should have contacted GCSO and not confronted female. Caller said he understood.

SUSPICIOUS

March 27

12:51 p.m., Rapids Road, Troy. On the nature trail on the east side. One male and one female there with rifles. They had a big white bag. They are sitting on a bench. Unknown what they are doing. They aren’t speaking with anyone else. Deputy responded. Subjects had pellet guns and were going to go target shooting. They were advised that target shooting was not permitted in the park. Subjects left the park.

March 29

11:14 a.m., Chardon Windsor Road, Hambden. Someone has been putting drug paraphernalia in caller’s trash cans. Caller said a friend of his works for Waste Management and has noticed when dumping caller’s garbage there is a large amount of needles in the can. Caller just wants it documented these are not his needles and does not want to get into any trouble. Caller told he could put up a camera on his property to try and find out who is dumping needles in his garbage can. Landlord at another Chardon Windsor address also has needles in this trash can. Caller would like his name added.

THEFT

March 30

10:36 a.m., Jackson Drive, Burton. Caller lives in Colorado. His father passed away and he now owns the property in Burton. He has photos on the security cameras of a female stealing items from the property earlier today and would like to make a report.
