ANIMAL PROBLEM
May 14
4:11 p.m., South Boulevard, Auburn. There is a Doberman pincher in caller’s yard and the dog charged her and she ran inside. UTL/GOA.
May 19
1:34 p.m., Mumford Road, Troy. Seven cows in the roadway. Owners were notified and were in the process of collecting their cows.
CITIZEN ASSIST
May 16
8:22 p.m., Princeton Road, Huntsburg. Caller said a man has been trying to contact their 17-year-old daughter. He said he is from North Dakota and that he is now in Ohio. Caller said they told him to stop calling and now he is calling the neighbors. Caller looking for advice. It was learned the daughter initiated the conversations and the calls they were consensual. Advice given.
CITIZEN DISPUTE
May 16
8:40 p.m., Linda Drive, Newbury. Female neighbor coming over threatening caller. She is mad there are grass clippings on her driveway. Neighbor is saying caller has until Tuesday to get the grass clippings off her driveway. Neighbor has not been violent, but has been yelling and getting in caller’s face. Civil issue between neighbors. Advice given.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
May 18
4:48 p.m., Old State Road, Middlefield. Caller reports his 31-year-old son struck his face and choked him. Parties separated. Son went into garage. No weapons, drugs, alcohol. Caller said his son said deputies needed to respond before he kills him. No injuries and caller refused to provide a statement. Report to follow.
DRUGS
May 14
9:04 a.m., Industrial Circle, Parkman. Callers witnessed what they believe was a drug deal (passing of meth) this morning at 8:17 a.m. between two employees.
One of employees is on probation in California. Both employees are still here. Requesting a deputy to stop by. Callers have it on video. Information obtained and will be passed onto narcotics detectives.
HARASSMENT
May 19
4:12 p.m., Thompson Road, Thompson. Female in lobby to report harassment. Downstairs tenant sent victim a naked photo. It happened last night during the night. Victim will come back tomorrow with a written statement and the photo.
MEDICAL
May 16
1:42 p.m., McCall Road, Parkman. Skydiver came down into the woods very fast. Unknown injuries. There were several other skydivers as well. This is only call dispatch received.
PROPERTY DAMAGE
May 16
9:55 a.m., Somerset Drive, Hambden. Someone broke out their windows with golf balls sometime last night. Observed garage window to be broken out by two golf balls. Caller believes neighbor may have been hitting golf balls across the street last night. Further said he did not want deputy to speak with neighbor and that he would contact them on his own. Advised incident would be documented for insurance. Photos taken.
ROAD RAGE
May 20
4:13 p.m., Main Market Road, Parkman. Caller advised he was break-checked and then followed into the gas station. Driver of the other car got out and punched caller in the face and then hit the female that was with him. White Camaro, left northbound on 528. Caller declined rescue; there are witnesses as well. Deputy advised. Report taken, under investigation.
RV PROBLEM
May 15
10:28 p.m., Sperry Road, Newbury. Male is riding on the property line. Caller feels harassed by the male. He went out and asked him to stop and he was very rude. Deputy spoke with complainant. They were advised no laws were being broken and the neighbor has every right to ride his ATV on his own property. Complainant advised he understood. Advice provided. Responded to neighbor’s home. Male was advised of the complaint and said he was done riding for the night.
SUSPICIOUS
May 17
3:27 p.m., Crestwood Drive, Middlefield. Caller sees a red tent in the woods toward Walmart. Homeless male set up in woods between caller’s property and Walmart. Advised he would pack up his belongings and be on his way. Refused ride or other assistance.
May 18
6:42 p.m., Leggett Road, Montville. Caller reports seeing a light in the sky, white in color. Light stopped. Caller took photos with his camera phone. Every photo the object changed form. Deputy observed the photo and did not know what it was. Deputy told caller to contact the FAA for more information if he’d like.
TRAFFIC OFFENSE
May 14
4:54 p.m., Ravenna Road, Auburn. Traffic light. Ford F150, male appears to be passed out. He’s alert now. Caller has the vehicle stopped. OSHP will be en route from post. Caller did smell alcohol. 52-year-old male. At Dollar General on 87, eastbound on 87. Passed 44, passed Aquilla. Left of center. At Burton square. Request a tow and an ambulance for a male highly intoxicated. Driver cited.
UNCONSCIOUSNESS
May 17
2:40 p.m., Auburn Road, Chardon. 43-year-old male slumped over wheel. He is intoxicated and breathing, but not responding. Unknown drug use. Chardon Rescue transported one male to Geauga Medical Center.
UNDERAGE CONSUMPTION
May 16
12:40 a.m., Pekin Road, Newbury. At least 25 or more people drinking, underage. Female throwing party is 18 or 19. Her guests are same age. Area checked and there were multiple cars in driveway, but no one was observed outside. Caller called back to say she just saw a Snapchat video of people snorting cocaine off of tables there. Video was from the party’s group story. Caller wishes to remain anonymous. A second anonymous complaint of underage party. Area checked. Nothing criminal observed.
