ANIMAL PROBLEM
Oct. 28
3:44 p.m., Aquilla Road, Claridon. Five baby goats standing in the ditch.
CITIZEN ASSIST
Oct. 23
5:15 p.m., Nauvoo Road, Middlefield. Caller stating she took a dog in and now the owner after abandoning the dog wants her dog back. Caller would like a call to see what to do. Deputy spoke with caller and advised her to contact dog warden.
DOMESTIC DISPUTE
Oct. 22
4:16 p.m., Claridon Troy Road, Troy. Caller is advising his children’s mother’s cousin pointed a rifle at him while he was leaving the residence. Met with caller at Troy Township Community Center and got statement.
FRAUD
Oct. 22
1:28 p.m., Lakeview Road, Munson. Caller is having a hard time convincing her husband he is receiving fraudulent documents about winning millions of dollars. He is angry with her. She would like to speak with a deputy. Complainant was told he won $18 million. Advised it was a scam and the fees he had to pay would be lost.
Oct. 26
2:32 p.m., Mayfield Road, Munson. Money put into a fake account from an email. IR and document only. Unknown person hacked a vendor’s account requesting money owed to a fake/hacked account. $50,000 sent to the account. Bank handling and documentation for insurance purposes that will reimburse business.
SUSPICIOUS
Oct. 25
12:21 p.m., Castlewood Drive, Newbury. Neighbor is putting nails in the roadway, causing flats, possible he is also making meth. Deputy also spoke with someone else who reported similar issues. See report.
THEFT
Oct. 26
11:09 a.m., GAR Highway, Hambden. Caller needs to report a stolen credit card was used to purchase some equipment. Suspect used a stolen card to purchase a tractor from the business. Deputy was advised that Peter is a suspect from a similar incident in Brookville. Deputy spoke with Brookville PD and the investigation is ongoing at this time.
Oct. 28
2:54 a.m., Mayfield Road, Claridon. Customer stole a huge planter from outside. It is on video. This occurred at 11:54 a.m. yesterday. Male observed on security cameras putting planter in the trunk of his car and driving off without paying. Cost of planter is $350.
THREATENING
Oct. 22
9:58 p.m., Great Lakes Parkway, Troy. Caller is at work and receiving harassing threats on her cell phone from her boyfriend’s sister. One text states, “I’ll run your ass over the next time I see you.” She also said, “I will shoot you in the face.” Female also calling the work phone and has been told to stop. Deputy called boyfriend’s sister and she admitted to messaging and calling caller at work. Deputy told sister she needs to stop or she will be charged. Sister said she understood. Report to follow.
Oct. 27
6:10 p.m., Cloverdale Drive, Middlefield. Minor son was outside playing Fortnite with some other boys. Mom came out and threatened my son with a battle axe. Deputy spoke with son, who said the woman got mad at them and then went inside. She then came out and asked if the boys wanted her to get her battle axe. Boy said he was not threatened to be struck with a battle axe. Boy said he thought they were being mean to him.

3:41 p.m., Mentor Road, Chardon. Caller says he received messages from phone number with graphic photos of dead people = saying he will be next. He does not know who is sending texts. An unknown individual sent three graphic photos via text after receiving a response, asked for $2,500. Deputy called number and made contact with a young adult male, who had an undiscernible foreign accent and immediately hung up the phone. Caller advised to block the number and not return such calls.
TRESPASSING
Oct. 22
12:41 a.m., Kinsman Road, Burton. Ex was at the house. He broke in. Left eastbound on 87. When he broke in through the front door he injured her hand, rescue denied. Male is possibly intoxicated. He threw something inside the house and struck her, some kind of ceramic garden gnome. He was alone and he has a TPO against him. Male stated he was out drinking. Caller thinks he is back, she is screaming. Now saying he pushed her in the stomach and spit on her. She is becoming hysterical. See report.
