The following is a sampling of the calls handled by the Geauga County Sheriff’s Office July 22-28, 2022.

ASSAULT

July 23

1:29 a.m., Tavern Road, Parkman. 27-year-old female hit in face by her boyfriend while in their tent at camp. She is bleeding. Caller hung up and won’t answer questions; she just keeps saying she needs an EMT. Did indicate both parties have been drinking. She advised she did not want to file charges. See report.

CITIZEN ASSIST

July 23

4:25 p.m., Wilson Mills Road, Munson. Phone call only needs advice on motorcycle he bought that is registered to a previous owner and not the male he bought it from.

CITIZEN DISPUTE

July 22

6:13 p.m., Hikers Trail, Chardon. Female in lobby to file a report about a situation with a neighbor who has been intimidating her. Female stated neighbor tries to get her attention by playing music late at night, riding his 4-wheeler right on the property line while she’s outside and driving his cars fast down his driveway with the music playing loudly while she’s on the porch. She also said when she leaves her driveway he will sometimes drive behind her so she notices him. Deputy advised complainant of the process for applying for a civil protection order. He also advised complainant that putting cameras on the exterior of her house could be usual.

DOMESTIC DISPUTE

July 22

2:48 p.m., Munn Road, Auburn. 20-year-old male is giving his mother issues. No weapons, no physical violence. No drugs or alcohol. Male is destroying property by putting “manwipes” into the toilet and caller is upset that it will ruin her septic. Argument started over a clogged toilet. Family is scheduled to move in a week. Advice given to the male on options for future housing.

NOISE PROBLEM

July 22

8:48 a.m., Longview Drive, Newbury. Neighbors just got 10 chickens and a rooster, and the caller is complaining about the noise at all hours of the day. Spoke to owner of chickens who is going to build a house for them so they should be quiet at night. Caller is going through Newbury zoning to make a complaint.

OVERDOSE

July 28

2:38 p.m., Crestwood Road, Newbury. 25-year-old male overdose on heroin. He was not breathing. CPR in progress. Caller administered Narcan on him one time. He is now conscious and talking. Report to follow.

SUSPICIOUS

July 22

8:30 p.m., Kenny Drive, Hambden. Male slowed down in front of caller’s house to ask if she is single. Younger male in 30s, dark hair. Male left the area, went toward the entrance of the park. UTL/GOA.

July 25

11:20 a.m., Clay Street, Montville. Male is on the Ring camera. He says caller ordered something from his company and didn’t pay for it and is trying to collect money, but caller has no idea what he is talking about. He is sitting in his vehicle and won’t leave. Caller is not at home, just talked to him on the camera system. Caller said driver of can with “Rogers Nursery” on the side claimed a check the caller wrote for rock salt bounced. Check was written on a company from Pennsylvania. Checked Clay to U.S. 6, including parks, and did not locate.

THEFT

July 23

12:05 p.m., GAR Highway, Hambden. Report for stolen catalytic converter from Lake Effect Auto Sales.

July 27

4:41 p.m., Huntley Road, Huntsburg. A backpack leaf blower was stolen sometime during the night out of the caller’s back yard. Shindaiwa backpack leaf blower.
