Sept. 15-21, 2023

The following is a sampling of the calls handled by the Geauga County Sheriff’s Office Sept. 15-21, 2023.

ASSAULT

Sept. 21

6:21 p.m., Nicki Lane, Hambden. Another couple attacked the caller and her husband. They started throwing things at the caller’s car and followed them to their home at Nicki Lane. They physically assaulted both the caller and her husband. Were physically attacked by an unknown male and female, white, younger and medium build. Unknown male and female were described as white, younger and medium build. Just wanted incident documented. No further action needed.

CITIZEN DISPUTE

Sept. 18

2:37 p.m., Thompson Road, Thompson. Caller states he has protesters in his back yard, people wanting his property. Maybe 5 or 6 people. K9 Justice and Deputy Primer walked the area. Justice did not pick up any human scent. No shoe prints located on path where caller stated males were. Deputy offered a visit to ER but caller declined.

DOMESTIC DISPUTE

Sept. 18

9:05 a.m., Colburn Road, Concord. Dispute over car keys. Female wants to leave. Husband took the keys. No violence. Argument over taking all kids so husband can cut grass.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

Sept. 18

7:51 a.m., Madison Road, Thompson. 14 year old male punched mother. Breaking everything in the house.

JUVENILE PROBLEM

Sept. 21

7:25 p.m., Nicki Lane, Hambden. 14 year old male is punching walls, throwing items and came after his mother. He is upset his Playstation was taken away from him. History of the juvenile destroying the house and acting out. Grandmother is talking with him, trying to calm him down. Upon arrival they learned had just taken his medicine, was calm and sitting in room.

PROPERTY DAMAGE

Sept. 21

8:32 p.m., Bass Lake Road, Munson. 2006 Audi Convertible A4 at least one window smashed out, unkonwn if anything is taken yet. Two vehicles with front passenger windows smashed. As of now no obvious property taken. Request for security camera footage sent. See Report.

SUSPICIOUS

Sept. 16

4:55 a.m., Downey Glen Trail, Auburn. Male states there are drones over his property. They change the lights on his property. He can see them on his camera. Caller previously reported this as well. States he has been trying to get in contact with someone but has not heard back. Caller would like a phone call.

Sept. 17

12:41 a.m., Mumford Road, Troy. Caller says a fight broke out at the above address, people threatening to shoot each other, caller was told someone would “put a bullet in his head” and is now at the Gulf gas station. Caller says there are 60 to 65 people at the party. One male pulled a pistol out of a white dodge pickup. Caller’s phone is at 1 percent, does not have a charger. Deputies were unable to locate the caller. Dispatch attempted to call the caller back but the call went straight to voicemail. Deputies did not observe anything at the address from the roadway.

Sept. 19

6:53 p.m., Downey Glen Trail, Auburn. Someone broke into a tent on his property sometime last night and they are fishing out of his pond. Would like to speak to a deputy and detectives. Complainant believes somebody came onto his property last night and went into his tent and is fishing his pond. Complainant was not able to capture anyone on his security cameras set up all over the yard. Complainant would like to continue having extra patrol at his residence during the evening hours.

TRAFFIC OFFENSE

Sept. 15

7:53 a.m., Mayfield and Heath Road, Chester, Munson.  Caller states he followed a vehicle into Notre Dame, and she was passing on double yellow line, and she made oncoming traffic run off the road. She pulled in and ran into the school. Caller has her plate and is requesting someone to speak to her. Responded to NDCL and spoke with assistant principal. He located the student and removed her from class. Assistant principal and deputy had a conversation with student about safe driving.
