CITIZEN ASSIST
Feb. 16
11:51 a.m., Chardon Road, Chardon. Caller saw a deputy in the area and asked if he could stop by so that the caller can discuss issues with traffic. Spoke with complainant. He has concerns regarding the new traffic pattern Chardon Rd. and Auburn Rd. He stated that the new pattern is not safe, and he
fears that once his business reopens in the spring his customers will have issues getting in and out of his business safely. He has spoken to ODOT on many occasions and they are not helpful.
NOISE PROBLEM
Feb. 20
5:41 a.m., Plank Road, Montville. Blue compact car driving by her home and honking. Caller stated it is same car that does this every morning. She has video of it happening. Said its the same car daily. Light blue small car. Advice given to move cameras to get a better view.
SUSPICIOUS
Feb. 16
9:06 a.m., Main Market Road, Parkman. Caller called 911 to state that her Amish neighbor told her that “they” are using the Gulf station in Parkman for Human Trafficking. When asked who “they” are the caller stated that she was referring to the female involved in the recent Amber alert with the grey Jeep. Attempted to contact complainant, voicemail was left after no answer.
Feb. 17
12:34 p.m., Princeton Road, Huntsburg. 19 year old daughter is concerned ex-boyfriend has “implanted her with a microchip.” She is concerned because he has threatened to implant her with a microchip and now that they have broken up he seems to know where she is at all the times, and she does not have a cell phone. Responded to location and spoke to the female and her mother. No evidence
of a microchip and female’s items were checked for Airtags. None found. Possible friends are talking and giving out her business. Advice was given.
Feb. 18
7:01 a.m., Water Street, Sheetz, Chardon. Teenager was at Sheetz about 15 minutes ago advised several black teens approached him and tried to steal his car. I spoke with the complainant on the phone. He claims he got off work at 6:30 a.m. from Sheetz and was getting gas. After doing so, he claims he was surrounded by about 5 young black males, one of them got close to him and asked if he and
his friends could get a ride. After telling the male no, he entered his car drove away and last saw the males walking on Water St. towards Burger King. He claims he saw 3 black males outside and
they never surrounded the complainant or got close to him or the car.
Feb. 20
6:56 a.m., Bass Lake Road, Munson. School bus waiting for student. Mom ran out and was yelling at swearing at child. The child did not get on the bus. Bus was traveling north caller was
southbound stopped for the bus. Caller had her window open and heard all of this. Mother was pushing and shoving the female out the door and yelling. She wants someone to check on the kid. Spoke with mother. She just got back from dropping off child at CHS. Stated girl was refusing to get on the bus because bus driver embarrassed her. Stated she lost her temper but did not harm her.
Feb. 20
8:34 p.m., Merritt Road, Geauga Sheriffs Office. Inmate wanting to make a report, unwilling to tell correction officers. Contact was made with who advised since being arrested his belongings were left at the camp site next to Mel Harder park. Stated called his father to pick his property up which the father did. Later learned his father did not take all of his stuff and his father told the others they could have what’s left. Contact was made with Chardon Pollice who advised they will handle.
Feb. 23
11:56 p.m., Great Lakes Parkway, Great Lakes Cheese. Drone flying over parking lot with no lights on it. There is a gray car sitting in Blazing bBills parking lot across the street. Parking lot is otherwise empty per caller and assumed the drone was being operated from the car. Caller was concerned about recent catalytic converters being stolen from the lot and thought the drone could have been related to this. Vehicle was located unoccupied, no drone observed in the area.
THEFT
Feb. 16
3:20 p.m., Great Lakes Parkway, Troy. Will be waiting outside in the visitor parking lot. Someone stole a catalytic converter a Cadillac that belongs to an employee. Happened at 11:29am today. They have camera footage of the incident. Suspect car was Ford Edge with no front or rear plate. Report taken.
THREATENING
Feb. 16
6:13 p.m., Cedar Road, Munson. Caller is parked in the street because he lost his cat. A male walked outside and pulled his pants down and showed his testicles. Male than went inside the house and was standing in the window and pointed to a gun in his waist area. White male. Contact not made with homeowner, did not answer door. Loud music could be heard inside home. Complainant said subject was on his property and firearm was in the subject’s waistband entire time. Complainant was advised and appeared satisfied.
