EXTRA PATROL
Jan. 2
12:15 p.m., Aquilla Road, Claridon. Caller is requesting extra patrols advised there are employee and company cars parked at this location 24 hours a day and in the last few days a few have been damaged. Caller indicated they rent the building from the Commissioners and the cameras in place do not work . Caller indicated they will file a report at a later time for damage if needed. Extra patrol requested at Next Step. Employees have reportedly had vehicle damage recently. Everything checks OK currently. Request will be forwarded to other shifts.
INJURED PERSON
Jan. 3
3:38 p.m., Madison Road, Parkman. 39 year old male had a tree fall on his leg. He has obvious broken leg. Caller believes it is broken off. Male is out of the woods on a sled. Caller is unable to find out if it is an amputation. Alert and conscious. Caller was advised to call back if she can gather further information. UH canceled dude to ground transport.
SUSPICIOUS
Jan. 3
2:11 p.m., Fairmound Road and Sperry Road, Newbury. Small SUV dropped off two males that looked like they had duffle bags with them, they were dropped off at the tree lawn and caller thought it odd. Caller said its near the 2 million dollar house on Fairmount Road. Caller indicated house she was east of Sperry Road when she saw it is almost at Auburn now so about a two minute time lapse. Checked the area and did not locate anyone.
Jan. 7
11:29 p.m., Chardon Windsor Road, Mel Harder Park, Chardon. I observed a vehicle parked in a parking space on the most east side. The vehicle was running but unknown if anyone inside of it. When I approached the vehicle, I observed a silver pistol not in a holster in the passenger side seat within the driver’s reach. When I woke the driver up, he got up and looked over to his passenger side. Driver complied with my commands and I secured him in cuffs. Driver was warned for park hours and was advised to keep his firearm secured while sleeping.
THEFT
Jan. 2
3:55 p.m., Main Market Road, Dollar General, Parkman. Theft in progress. Two carts full of items. Male is on foot. White male. Black jacket. Dark jeans. Brown boots. Westbound on Route 422. Pushing one cart and carrying toilet paper and paper towels. Dropping items as he goes. Not a normal customer. Caller is walking down the road as well keeping a safe distance. Employee left the store unattended and the door is locked. She is now heading back. Arrested for theft. Report to follow.
4:47 p.m., Madison Road, Parkman. Stolen utility trailer, noticed it was missing last night. Gate on the back, magnetic lights on the wheel wells. Trailer was locked and someone cut it off.
THEFT AUTO
Jan. 7
5:22 p.m., Grant Street, Hambden. Barn behind Ernst Lanes, two snowmobiles were stolen, unknown when they were stolen. Wanted to report that two snowmobiles were missing from the storage barn behind the old Ernst Lanes bowling alley. She advised that the snowmobiles belong to her boyfriend. She was advised she would need to contact sheriff’s department. He would have to provide proof of ownership either by title or bill of sale.
