The following is a sampling of the calls handled by the Geauga County Sheriffs Office June 11-17. In total, the sheriffs office handled 342 calls during this seven-day period.

Alcohol Offense

June 9

6:18 p.m., Auburn Road, Munson. Baseball fields behind Munson Fire Department. Anonymous caller reporting numerous parents are present drinking and the caller is concerned for the safety of the children. Deputy stayed and observed area; no violations observed.

Animal Bite

June 12

9:40 a.m., U.S. 422, Auburn. While at the boat ramp at LaDue, a pit bull bit the complainant. Did not break skin but tore his short and chased him into water. Deputy spoke with owner of pit bull. She states the dog is not aggressive and only tore the victims shirt. Owner paid victim $20 for new shirt. Deputy contacted dog wardens office. They will contact owner of dog. If victim shows up at Post 1, dog warden would like to contact victim to discuss incident.

Citizen Dispute

June 7

6:42 p.m., Jackson Drive, Burton. A man from Georgette pulled a gun on my two sons. Possibly a racial thing. This man has harassed us in the past, but this is not OK. Report taken.

Extra Patrol

June 13

6:54 p.m., Patch Road, Troy. Extra patrol requested for the area of Patch and Mumford roads, on weekends, especially around the hours of 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. According to detective, she has been fielding complaints from some Amish citizens about a suspicious vehicle that has been seen in the area. Unknown make, model or color. Most likely male driver. Reports indicate the male drives up to Amish walking on the road and attempts to shout something at them. Last time, two Amish women were yelled at and fled on foot. While females were running away, they heard what they described as firecrackers being shot off from the direction they fled.

Suspicious

June 8

9:27 p.m., Woodiebrook Road, Munson. Supposed to be a party tonight; bonfire at this residence. Son of complainant was given beer there at a prior party. Complainant believes this has occurred at least three previous times. Complainant unaware if parents at this house are aware of underage drinking.

June 11

6 p.m., Deer Drive, Chardon. Younger male, late teens or early 20s, going door to door soliciting money from the residents for some kind of trip he is going on. Male is reported to be wearing an orange shirt.

Theft

June 7

8:23 p.m., Auburn Glen Road, Auburn. Someone broke into garage yesterday and took a case of beer. Report to follow.

June 8

8:05 p.m., Forest Road, Claridon. Trimming trees on the side of the road. Callers chain saw was taken while he was moving the cut wood. Deputy informed of call. Report taken.

Threatening

June 7

5:46 a.m., Auburn Road, Munson. In the lobby. Mother saw threats aimed at her son on Facebook. Son is 14 years old. Report taken.

2:18 p.m., Longwood Avenue, Burton. Foreman for Burton Township was working on Longwood when a subject approached the complainant and threatened him over the work that is being done. The subject stated if you touch my driveway you are dead. Parties are separated; the subject went to his house.

Vandalism

June 8

7:27 a.m., Woodin Road, Hambden. Someone put a toilet on top of my husbands car and then put it inside the car and scratched the seats. This isnt the first time. Deputy advised. Report to follow.

June 13

7:09 a.m., Rock Creek Road, Thompson. Someone threw a brick through my car window.
