Agency Assist

June 19

11:34 a.m., Watt Road, Russell. With health department for dumping complaint. Two residences checked for EPA violations. Complaint made by Ohio EPA.

Animal Problem

June 14

2:34 a.m., Hart Road, Montville. Caller says his neighbor across the street has several dogs and bark non-stop. He has tried to sleep with the A/C running and ear plugs, and they are extremely loud. Would like to have them bring them in. Spoke with dog owners. Dog was outside because it was in heat. She will bring it in and keep it quiet during the night.

10:19 a.m., Regent Park Drive, Munson. Two baby raccoons laying in the roadway. Caller will be waiting for deputy. Moved the raccoons to the wood line.

Citizen Assist

June 14

2:19 a.m., Butternut Road, Newbury. Received an email that looks official from American Airlines regarding the purchase of two flight tickets. She checked her banking records but hasnt checked with her credit card company because she cannot find it. She would like assistance because she thinks this is a scam. Called American Airlines who confirmed it was a bogus email and they were aware of it and investigating. Email was deleted.

June 15

12:52 p.m., Goredon Drive, Aquilla. Wants officer to talk to her young son about walking into peoples houses when they are not home. Complainant said her son took a few toys and a box of crackers from neighbors residence. Complainant stated he has done this a few times now. Deputy spoke to boy who advised he took the toys because they were cool and his toys are lame. Deputy explained his actions could get him in trouble or hurt. Boy said he would stop. Advice given. Cleared IR only.

June 16

8:54 a.m., Merritt Road, Munson. Per GAL want deputy to check the bag she will be sending with the child for exchange. Complainant wanted frozen breast milk bags inspected because husband has made complaints about leaking/torn bags. Bags frozen solid and appear to be in good shape.

Extra Patrol

June 20

3:28 p.m., Chardon Windsor, Huntsburg. Resident requesting extra patrol for speeding vehicles on Chardon Windsor Road. According to the complainant, this occurs every day, especially around rush hour times. Complainant states he calls every year and nothing seems to be done about the speeders on the road. He states his wife was out walking their dog last night on Princeton Road and was almost run down by two vehicles drag racing on the roadway.

Odor Investigation

June 18

1 p.m., Mayfield Road, Claridon. In the day care bathroom they can smell weed. They believe it was coming from Capps workers; however, no proof and they do not suspect any of their workers. Advice given.

Phone Harassment

June 19

8:59 p.m., Paulette Drive, Burton. Have received two harassing phone calls from a person from Joeys in Chardon. Second person in Alabama. They have called yelling at me for not picking up my order. I dont know who is calling these things in, but I did not order anything. Complainant left her residence and is going to meet with staff at Joeys. She has requested a phone call from a deputy.

Suspicious

June 14

8:55 p.m., Kinsman Road, Newbury. Male inside the bank and now they cannot see him inside. There is still a car outside. Male looked like a biker. Caller is no longer at bank. Cleaning dude.

June 15

3:15 a.m., Old State Road, Claridon. Blue SUV with a subject passed out in it. Caller said there are no skid marks and there is no damage to the vehicle, and does not appear to be a crash. OVI and more.

June 17

5:11 p.m., Daniel Lane, Hambden. Female would like to speak to an officer about an attempted fraud over the phone. Foreign male claiming to be from Publishers Clearinghouse told complainant she had won $750,000 and needed to go to Walmart and get $350 money order and send it. Complainant knew this was a scam and did not go through with anything or provide male with any personal information. Male called while deputy was there and deputy spoke to the male. Deputy told male not to call and that female knew it was a scam. Male told deputy, This is no joke, and deputy again told him it was a scam and not to call. Male hung up.

June 18

6:31 p.m., Kiwanis Drive, Newbury. Bald male on a green lawnmower driving through yards and up and down the road. Seems strange. Checked area. GOA/UTL.

Theft

June 15

7:45 p.m., Basswood Rod, Munson. Female in lobby of post reference the theft of $14,000 from her checking account. Report taken.

June 16

4:27 p.m., Mayfield Road, Munson. Someone stole things and vandalized the little house on the property. Munson Water Gardens. Report taken.

Vandalism

June 16

11:58 a.m., Hart Road, Montville, Slashed tires and appears gas all through the car. Report taken.
