The following is a sampling of the calls handled by the Geauga County Sheriffs Office Aug. 2-8. In total, the sheriffs office handled 355 calls during this seven-day period.

Agency Assist

Aug. 5

12:51 a.m., Bloomfield Kinsman Road, Trumbull County. Assist Trumbull County SO with an intoxicated male that has taken a 3-year-old into the woods. Needs assistance with locating him. Assisted TCSO with track for a domestic violence suspect. The track went north through the woods, out into a recently harvested field. K9 lost the track approximately one mile north of residence. Clear.

Animal Problem

Aug. 5

4:07 p.m., Pekin Road, Newbury. Two llamas in road. Deputy advised. Checked the area; GOA/UTL. Cleared IR only.

Aug. 7

12:56 p.m., Shedd Road, Troy. Five loose horses 4 buggy horses and one draft horse running west. Complainant called back; the horses have been corralled.

Aug. 8

6:43 a.m., Mitchells Mill Road, Chardon. Caller is out. Donkey walking in the roadway. Caller has hold of the bridle but does not want to let it go because it will get hit. The donkeys home has been located.

Burglary

Aug. 8

9:58 p.m., Turner Drive, Aquilla. Female at the location screaming. Female upset because she believes callers wife hit her dog. Callers son involved in the argument now as well. Male stated he was ready to get a gun. Resident did not confirm whether he has a weapon in his home. Caller advised the neighbor pushed her way into the residence. Caller does not know her name. Arrested female and transported to GCSO jail. Miranda given; statement obtained. Completed report.

Citizen Assist

Aug. 5

3:52 p.m., Farmington Road, Parkman. Has buggy in his barn that belongs to someone else. Questioning if it is legal to keep it until money is paid for disposing of buggy owners horse.

Citizen Dispute

Aug. 6

11:17 a.m., Pekin Road, Newbury. Neighbors disputing over a fence being installed. Complainants wife called him to say the neighbor was yelling at the workers from his yard. Caller was advised the male can yell all he wants. Complainant asked for a deputy to come over to ask him to stop yelling at the workers. No crime … neighbor was swearing on his property about the new fence.

Aug. 7

8:55 a.m., Clark Road, Chardon. The petroleum company needs to get back to the oil site to empty a tank that is full. The homeowner will not let the pumper trucks back; there is stuff blocking the roadway. Complainant has been threatened before with a gun by the homeowner. Homeowner agreed to move all the items, including the truck off the drive to the oil well site. Spoke to the foreman and they have no issues at this time.

7:39 p.m., Kinsman Road, Newbury. Resident is having a problem with her downstairs neighbor. They are continuously smoking marijuana and it is wafting upstairs and adversely affecting her breathing problem. They have turned off her air conditioning and are playing extremely loud music. No evidence of drug use at this time. Female needed advice about civil issues; advice given.

Harassment

Aug. 2

8:15 a.m., Georgia Road, Middlefield. Caller thinks male is stalking her. She thinks she saw him in her yard letting out her 4-H rabbits and he has called her and proposed.

Theft

Aug. 3

12:10 p.m., Ravenna Road, Chardon. Batting cage stolen off the property. Deputy advised; report taken.

Traffic Crash

Aug. 8

5:20 a.m., Bass Lake Road, Munson. Car rollover. Male believes he is going to die. Caller swerved to miss a deer and went in the ditch and the car rolled at least twice.
