Robert “Bob” Dahl, a former Notre Dame third round NFL pick who played for his hometown Cleveland Browns at offensive line, died unexpectedly Sept. 2023. He was 54.
Dahl was a 1987 graduate of Chagrin Falls High School where he was a key player during the 1980s for the Tigers football team. He was selected All-Ohio in 1986 and earned a scholarship at Notre Dame, where he was a two-year starter and a member of the 1988 National College Football Championship team.
Dahl earned a starting position for his hometown Cleveland Browns starting 47 games over a 3-year span. He spent his final 2 seasons as an offensive lineman for the Washington Redskins.
