Kindergarten Registration

Kindergarten registration will be held March 6 from 8-11 a.m. and 4:30-7 p.m. at Timmons Elementary School, 9595 East Washington St., for children entering kindergarten in August. Children must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 30.

Please bring the completed registration packet, which is different than the one posted online, with supporting documentation and calendar to registration.

Timmons Lunch Bunch

Congratulations to Timmons Elementary School Students of the Month.

Kindergartners honored with “compassion” awards were Beckham Camara, Sarah Kramer, Katelyn Liotta, Evelyn Mills, Henry Myles, Beckett Neal and Bristol Race. First-graders were Chase Altmann, Abigail Fink, Kaitlyn Gilbert, Noah Maloney, Leonard Stanley, James Stevens and Luke Stupica.

Second-graders were Lillian Chiles, Grace England, Ryan Flynn, Sir James Garrett, Alexandra Grunwald, Lola Keschl and Daisy Parker. Third-graders were Addison Albrecht, Avari Amstutz, Daunte’via Cable, Sabrina Hayter, Devin Macsuga, Noah Makesh and Maren Wachter.

KIS Students of the Month

Kenston Intermediate School is pleased to announce their Students of the Month for February.

Students selected for Student of the Month “compassion” honors were fourth-graders Evan Branthoover, Charlie Cianciolo, Emily Ensign, Rory Healy, Josie Ianiro, Ali Manis, Carmella Nilsson, Sophia Strauss, Sara Studer, Ruby Swanson and Mallory Yates; and fifth-graders Elizabeth Churchill, Colette LaSalvia, Owen O’Malley, Maddie Rees, Hadleigh Schmittel, Ben Serafin, Sam Sigh, Sam Snyder, Aly Stefancin and Gavin Watson.

Speech and Debate

The Kenston High School Speech and Debate team is going to Nationals this summer. Congratulations to Morgan Spehar who qualified in Informative Speaking. Tia Speece will compete as part of the Cleveland District’s World Schools Debate team. Nick Vitello in Humorous Interpretation and Gillian McMasters in Original Oratory are alternates to the competition held in Birmingham, Ala.

Timmons Elementary School Jump Rope for Heart campaign recently collected over $9,400 to benefit the American Heart Association. Physical education teachers Chris Maistros and Jeff George organized the longstanding community service project.
