Messiah Choir Returns To Benefit Food Pantries
April 2 and 9, 3 p.m.
The Good Tidings Benefit Choir will continue its legacy of raising spirits and funds for the Geauga Hunger Task Force by performing the Easter sections of GF Handel’s “Messiah” at Notre Dame Chapel, 13000 Auburn Road in Munson.
The choir is under the direction of Robert Boles and accompanied by Joy Leirer.
All attendees will be invited to join in the Hallelujah chorus.
The performances are free, but a goodwill offering will be taken.
Words and Wine
April 4, 6:30 p.m.
Grace Butcher, of Chardon, will be the featured poet at Rider’s 1812 Inn, 792 Mentor Ave., Painesville. The 1992 Ohio Poet of the Year, she has a new manuscript of poems to share.
Open mic for original poems will precede her reading.

Invitational Art Show
The Middlefield Historical Society invitational art shows, featuring student artwork, will be held in conjunction with co-sponsors The Middlefield Banking Company and Centerra Co-op at the lower level of the Century Inn, 14979 So. State Ave. in Middlefield.
The high school and middle school division will be held April 1-2 and 8-9 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will feature work from students at Berkshire high and junior high schools, Cardinal high and middle schools (grades 7-12), Chardon high and middle schools and Newbury high and junior high schools.
The elementary school division, featuring work from Burton Elementary School, Ledgemont Elementary School, Jordak Elementary School, Cardinal Intermediate School, Cardinal Middle School grades five and six, all four Chardon elementary schools and Newbury Elementary School, will be held May 6-7 and 13-14.
All work will be judged by professional artists and/or art teachers. Prizes and ribbons will be awarded for outstanding artwork.
Admission is free, but donations will be accepted.
