2017 Immunization Clinics

The Geauga County General Health District offers walk-in immunization clinics for children and adolescents through the age of 18. Residents must present an immunization record as well as a primary insurance card.

The following is a list of upcoming immunization clinics:

Middlefield, April 20, First United Methodist Church, 14999 S. State Ave., 3-6 p.m.

Troy, April 26, Troy Community Center, 13950 Main Market Road, 9-11:30 a.m.

Help for Mental Illness

Geauga County National Alliance on Mental Illness offers support, education and advocacy for those affected by mental illness. A family and friends support group meeting is held every Monday from 7-8:30 p.m. at the NAMI Geauga office, 107 South St., Suite 5 in Chardon. The group is free for family members, partners and friends of individuals with mental health conditions.

Special Vaccine Clinics

Geauga County Health District is offering special vaccine clinics for seventh- and 12th-graders. Only Tdap and meningitis immunizations will be administered.

A clinic will be offered May 1 from 3-6 p.m. at Geauga Health District, 470 Center St., Building 8 in Chardon. A second clinic will be held May 8 from 3-6 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 14999 S. State Ave., Middlefield.

Residents must present an immunization record as well as insurance card.

Most insurance carriers can be billed; call 440-279-1950 for an insurance carrier list. Or self pay with cash or check. Cost is $50 for Tdap and $117 for meningitis. Vaccines will be available to the uninsured and those with Medicaid.

New Vaccine Offerings

Beginning May 5, vaccines will be available at no cost through the Geauga County Health District for adults 19 and older who are uninsured or underinsured. Underinsured adults are defined as having health insurance, however, the coverage does not include vaccines or covers only selected vaccines.
