- Men’s Health: May 11, 11 a.m. University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center will present a free talk on urology and the importance of PSA screenings, with pinochle and Wii Bowling beforehand.
- Have a Laugh: For the Health of It: May 12, 11 a.m. Stephanie Yeaglin, of Hospice of the Western Reserve, will discuss where therapeutic humor comes from, identify the benefits of humor and distinguish between appropriate and inappropriate uses of humor.

Bainbridge/Chagrin AARP
May 9, 1 p.m.
The Bainbridge/Chagrin AARP Chapter 4527 will hold its meeting and annual spaghetti lunch at the Bainbridge Town Hall, 17826 Chillicothe Road, Bainbridge Township. Cafe Michael will cater the lunch. Reservations are required by May 1; call Betty Scholz, 440-338-3607.
Food and paper products will be collected for the Food For Friends food pantry as well as donations of dog food, dog treats, hot dogs and monetary donations for the Geauga County Dog Shelter.

UH Quarterly Presentations
May 11, 11 a.m. to noon
University Hospitals will present “Men’s Health: Urology Talk & PSA Screenings” at West Geauga Senior Center.
Clients who are planning to attend, need transit or who would like lunch at the senior center need to RSVP by May 8. Call 440-729-2782.
Senior Trash Pickup Days
Senior citizens who live in one of the townships or villages listed below and have unwanted items that need to be picked up at their homes may sign up for trash pick-up days.
Register with the Geauga County Department on Aging (GDA) at 440-279-2129 by the cut off day or earlier. Once registered, seniors can be placed on the trash pickup roster. To receive trash pickup assistance, one must be 60 years of age or older and live in the village, township or city holding the pick-up.
For specific trash guidelines or to register for the pickup, call the Department on Aging at 440-279-2129 or 440-279-2130 weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Only registered seniors can be placed on the pickup list. When signing up for pickup, please have a list of items that need to be removed.
Burton Township: May 17. Registration cutoff is May 15 or earlier.
Claridon Township: May 18. Registration cutoff is May 11 or earlier.
Chardon Township: May 30 and 31. Registration cutoff is May 23.
Auburn Township: June 1 and 2. Registration cutoff is May 25 or earlier.
Newbury Township: June 5-7. Registration cutoff is May 30, or earlier.
Huntsburg Township: June 15. Registration cutoff is June 8, or earlier.
