Burton Elementary School’s Jenna Revak and Ledgemont Elementary School’s Athena Stute were awarded the Raymond A. Horn Outstanding Student Awards for 2017 at Auburn Career Center on April 26.
Additionally, Berkshire Local Schools teachers Michelle Sivilio and Rebekah Martin were awarded the Franklin B. Walter Awards for Educators.
Ledgemont Preschool Enrollment
The SUTQ Geauga ESC Preschool housed at Ledgemont is now enrolling for the 2017-18 school year. The school is looking for 3-5 year olds for both the morning and afternoon sessions.

Currently, the LE afternoon preschool follows an integrated model serving children identified with a disability/delay and also peer models. In the classes, the school helps its youngest learners to develop their self-confidence, social/emotional skills and a love of learning that will help them find success in school and in life.
CVC Sportsmanship Awards
Berkshire seniors Emil Hess and Kylie Scott were recognized at the Chagrin Valley Conference (CVC) Sportsmanship Awards Conference on April 26. Schools from the throughout the conference each recognized two students from their district who exemplify sportsmanship and leadership.
Both Hess and Scott are continuing their sport careers at college. Hess will be attending John Carroll University and to play basketball. Scott is attending Cleveland State University and running cross country. Both have displayed leadership, poise and hard work as student athletes at Berkshire.
