Chardon Schools’ New Administrators
Two new administrators are joining Chardon Schools. At its April 20 meeting, the Chardon Board of Education approved the hiring of Lindsay Baar as the district’s new director of student services and Anthony Forfia as assistant principal at Chardon Middle School.
Baar succeeds Linda Elegante, who is retiring at the end of the school year. She brings more than two decades of education experience, including roles at Gaitway High School with the Educational Service Center of the Western Reserve and, since 2017, as coordinator of student services with Cleveland Heights-University Heights City School District.
“Lindsay’s breadth of experience as well as her strategic leadership skills make her a strong candidate to lead our student services department,” Superintendent Michael Hanlon said.
Baar holds degrees from the University of Findlay and Cleveland State University and is a Chardon High School graduate, Class of 2000.
Forfia brings more than two decades of education experience to the role, including 11 years in administrative positions and most recently as assistant principal at Royalview Elementary School in the Willoughby-Eastlake City School District. He holds degrees from Kent State University and Cleveland State University.
“Anthony’s impressive experience in educational leadership makes him a great fit to join our middle school administration,” Hanlon said.
“I am looking forward to introducing Anthony to the team; he’s going to be a great addition,” Principal Christina Sherwood said.
