St. Helen School had some special visitors on Oct. 4 as they celebrated the feast day of Saint Francis of Assisi, patron saint of animals, with a special pet blessing. Students and parishioners were encouraged to bring their furry, feathered and scaly family members to the church for a special blessing from Pastor Fr. Jay McPhillips assisted by Deacon Will Payne. It was certainly a sight to see and a special day shared by all.
