Senior Charlie Toman earned the championship medallion in the Division II golf tournament on Oct. 14. Charlie, who won the 2014 state championship as a freshman, led the Lions to their second consecutive runner-up state tournament finish by carding a record-setting 137 at NorthStar Golf Club in Sunbury over the weekend. His score of 66 on Oct. 13 also set a new first-round state record at the NorthStar course.
On Friday, the entire NDCL team also set a state tournament record at NorthStar with a combined score of 297. When the tournament’s final results were tallied, the Lions ended up 10 strokes over champion Columbus Academy.
