We really have some of the most generous organizations in this community.
Recently, the East Geauga Kiwanis Club and the Huntsburg Grange gave every second- and third-grader at Jordak Elementary School a literature book to help promote the importance of reading.
Our pups were so grateful for the gift and were looking forward to reading their new selections.
Second- and third-graders from Ledgemont Elementary and Berkshire Elementary also received books from the groups.

CMS Ugly Sweater Contest
What would the last day of school before winter break be at Cardinal Middle School without their annual Ugly Sweater contest?
On Dec. 21, students and staff donned their Christmas attire and then voted on who had the ugliest creation. Seventh-grader Anessa F. took home the student prize and teachers Miss Pintabona and Mr. Kruse finished first and second, respectively, for the teachers.
In addition to the ugly sweater contest, students also participated in a lip sync contest hosted by the PTO, and a student versus staff volleyball game.
