Winter Scout Days
Dress for the weather and explore Geauga parks to earn scouting credit. Registration is now open for all of them.
At Observatory Park on Jan. 27, Wolf Cub Scouts can work on their Paws on the Path Core Adventure and take a winter hike from 2-3:30 p.m., and Cadette Girl Scouts can explore the night sky to work on their Night Owl Badge from 6-8 p.m.
At Observatory Park on Feb. 10, Bear Cub Scouts can work on their Fur, Feathers & Ferns Core Adventure from 2-3:30 p.m., and Senior and Ambassador Girl Scouts can enjoy a special Astronomy Night full of space investigation and constellation stories toward earning their Senior Sky Badge from 6-8 p.m.
Finally, at The West Woods Nature Center on March 10, Brownie Girl Scouts can work on their Outdoor Art Creator Badge from 9-11 a.m., and Boy Scouts can work on their Nature Merit Badge from 1-3:30 p.m.
A merit badge counselor will be on site for the Boy Scout program for anyone who completes all requirements in time. The park district website for requirements being covered at each program, or email Holly Sauder at hsauder@geaugaparkdistrict.org with questions.
