eBird: Everything You Ever Wanted to Know

X-treme Winter Fun Day
Feb. 19, 1-4 p.m.
Spend the afternoon of the school day off at Orchard Hills Park for winter fun outside with friends. Teens ages 12-17 can try snowshoes, take their own sleds for a downhill ride, learn about winter wildlife and warm up by a fire with free hot cocoa and s’mores. Dress for the weather. This is a drop-off program and all participants must have a signed waiver. Registration required.
Travelogues
The following travelogues can also be enjoyed on Sundays from 2- 3 p.m. at The West Woods Nature Center in Russell Township. Registration is not required.
- Wandering Ohio – A Buckeye Trail Thru-Hike: Feb. 18
In 2016, Chuck and Beth Hewett completed a 1,400-mile, 76-day hike on the Buckeye Trail, the longest loop trail in the nation. They will share their journey with pictures and stories.
- Iceland – Land of Ice, Ash & Waterfalls: Feb. 25
Shane Wohlken will take participants on a journey down Highway 1, winding its way through the breathtaking scenery of Iceland.
Bring In Your Telescope
Feb. 24, 3-5 p.m.
Have a telescope, but feel unsure about how to use it? Drop by Observatory Park in Montville Township for some practice setting up and using a telescope – and stick around for night sky viewing
