• Low Vision Support Group: March 12, 10 a.m. Joel G. Proskovec, LISW-S of the Cleveland Sight Center, facilitates the monthly group that is open anyone who has or loves someone with vision problems caused by macular degeneration, glaucoma or other conditions.

• Home Safety: March 7, 10:30 a.m. Bob Debevits and “Bug Guy” Chris, from Lucas Pest Control, are back to talk about home safety and bugs. Call to register.

• Bed Bugs and Home Safety: March 22, 11 a.m. Home Safety Chore & Home Safety coordinator Bob Debevits and Lucas Pest Control will talk about home safety and how to stop the growing epidemic of bed bugs.

Bainbridge/Chagrin AARP

March 6, 1 p.m.

The Bainbridge/Chagrin AARP Chapter 4527 will meet at the Bainbridge Town Hall, 17826 Chillicothe Road in Bainbridge Township.

The program will be hosted by Holly from Harry & David’s located at Aurora Farms’ Premium Outlets in Aurora. Following the program, there will be a brief meeting and update on AARP.

If the Kenston School system is cancelled due to weather, the meeting will also be cancelled.

Food and staples will be collected for the Food for Friends food pantry as well as dog food, blankets, hot dogs and treats for the Geauga Dog Shelter. Monetary donations are also appreciated.

Refreshments will be served.

Senior Services Available

Join for a free presentation of general services available to Geauga seniors through the Geauga County Department on Aging. The GDA presentation will take place at the Bainbridge Public Library, 17222 Snyder Road.

Fire Safety Lunch and Learn

March 14, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Chardon Fire Department will host a free fire safety program at Mapleview Country Villa, 775 South St., in Chardon.

Free tours of the facility will be provided following the program. Smoke detectors will be available if needed from the Chardon FD.

Registration is required. Free bus transportation to and from the senior center is available; call by March 2.
