Senior Wins Skills USA Competition
CHS senior Zack F. won the regional SkillsUSA contest in Automotive Technology at Auburn Career Center and will advance to the state competition. In addition, Zack is the first student that has been officially accepted into the Ford Asset Program being sponsored by Preston Superstore at Cuyahoga Community College. Preston is sponsoring Zack in the program.
For the next eight weeks, Zack will take the Ford Asset classes at Tri-C during the day and then work at Preston in the afternoons, evenings and on weekends. Zack will apply what he’s learning in the classroom to his work for Preston and hopefully earn a job with Preston once the classes have been completed.
Alum Selected As Sichuan Scholar
2017 Cardinal graduate Max Warner has been selected as a Kent State College of Communication and Information Sichuan Scholar. Max and his fellow scholars will attend a two-week cultural exchange program at Sichuan University in Chengdu, China, in June.
