Geauga seniors can peer deep into the night sky through the Oberletelescope for viewing planets, nebula and other celestial features at the Observatory Park located at 10610 Clay St. in Montville Township.

- Theater Traveling: Aug. 3, 12:30 p.m. Join in a free educational series of travel videos on Europe, projected onto a large wall style screen. The first series will be traveling to Austria and The Alps. Popcorn and refreshments will be served.

Bainbridge/Chagrin AARP

The Bainbridge/Chagrin AARP Chapter 4527 will meet at the Bainbridge Town Hall, 17826 Chillicothe Road.
There will be a brief meeting following a program on Euclid Beach.
Please bring in donations of food, staples and school supplies for the Food For Friends food pantry and dog food, blankets, towels, hot dogs and treats for the Geauga Dog Shelter.

Elderberries: Heavenly Bodies

Geauga seniors can peer deep into the night sky through the Oberletelescope for viewing planets, nebula and other celestial features at the Observatory Park located at 10610 Clay St. in Montville Township.
A planetarium show substitutes for telescope viewing if skies are cloudy. EZ Go cart tours of the planetary trail will be available and after-dark desserts and coffee will be served.

Lunch & Learn at Mapleview
Aug. 14, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Join for lunch and a community presentation at Mapleview Country Villa, 775 South St, Chardon. Chardon Fire Department fire inspector Stephen Bohm will discuss heating system safety in the home, including HVAC, wood burning and fireplaces. Free smoke detectors will be available.
Transportation is available from Chardon Senior Center to Mapleview. Seating is limited. RSVP by Aug. 9 to 440-279-2126, or by Aug. 6 if needing transit.
