Youth Mental Health First Aid

Geauga County National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) offers support, education and advocacy for those affected by mental illness.
The training program is designed to teach parents, family members, caregivers, teachers, school staff, neighbors, peers and health and human service workers how to help adolescents ages 12-18 who are experiencing mental health or addiction challenges or are in crisis.
It will be held in the NAMI Geauga community room, 107 South St., Suite 6, Chardon. Cost is $40 and includes all materials and food.

Grief Group Support
Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers’ grief support group offers help, comfort and understanding to assist individuals in recovering from the sudden loss of a loved one through drugs or alcohol.
Licensed counselors and peer supports will provide assistance to navigate the grieving process.
The Grief Support Group is free, open to the community and meets weekly at the Mentor office located at 9083 Mentor Ave. Call the office at 440-255-0678 for days and times.
