Nature’s Ornaments: Make it Yourself

From evergreens to icicles, the beauty of the holiday season can be seen in nature. Try one’s hand at making unique ornaments from natural items by stopping into The West Woods Nature Center in Russell Township.
Registration is required, but there’s no cost. Aall ages are welcome to try making one or all of the ornaments available.
Some of the materials available to use are milkweed pods, rose hips, pinecones and acorns. Visit the park district’s social media for example photos of past ornaments.
