Help for Mental Illness

Geauga County National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) offers support, education and advocacy for those affected by mental illness.

NAMI Basics is a free, six-week education program for parents, teachers and caregivers of children and adolescents experiencing mental challenges. The free class will meet Saturdays, beginning March 2, from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., at Geauga County YMCA, 12460 Bass Lake Road, Chardon.

Family and Friends is a free seminar that informs people who have loved ones with a mental health condition how to best support them. The seminar will be held March 9 from 9-11 a.m. at the NAMI Geauga office located at 8389 Mayfield Road, Suite A-2 in Chester Township and are at no cost to participants.
