NAMI Geauga Seeks Volunteers

NAMI Geauga is seeking volunteers during the Geauga County Maple Festival April 25-28 to distribute materials, visit with others, talk about NAMI, hand out prizes and/or walk in the parade to support those affected by mental health. Call 440-286-6264 to volunteer.

Next Step Wine Tasting Fundraiser

April 27, 6:30-9 p.m.

The Next Step Advisory Board, a nonprofit organization formed to support and transition at-risk youth ages 18 to 24, is hosting a wine tasting fundraiser at Colonial Wine & Beverage, 8389 Mayfield Road in Chester Township. A buffet dinner will be served and raffle baskets will be available, as well as a 50/50 raffle.

Understanding Alzheimer’s and Dementia

Join at the Newbury Public Library, 14775 Auburn Road, Newbury Township, for “Understanding Alzheimer’s and Dementia.”

The free program will explore the impact of Alzheimer’s, the difference between Alzheimer’s and dementia, current research, available treatments and local Alzheimer’s Association Cleveland Area Chapter caregiver resources.
