The spring concert season for the West Geauga Music Department included final performances for the groups throughout the district.
Concerts were given by the high school’s symphonic band, concert band, jazz band, steel band, superband and the middle school bands. The performances included more than 400 students.
Jason Branch, band director, said, “We prepared 38 pieces of music total between the three concerts in two weeks, with so many well-prepared, well-performed, outstanding musical selections.”
West G Lax Enjoys Seven Wins
The West Geauga High School lacrosse program enjoyed seven wins during the spring season.
Head coach Vince Amato said, “We played a competitive season this year and won seven games. The team put in an amazing amount of effort and time into the season. The parents were amazing. They showed extreme support and most importantly, were an example for our young men.”
The team and coaches are looking forward to 2020, using the time between seasons to work on skills and player development.
