Food trucks are ready to roll up to Eleventhree Brewing Co. after Chardon Planning Commission approved their use on a semi-permanent basis June 27.
The brewery, located at 211 Cherry Ave., does not have a kitchen and is instead partnering with local food trucks to feed hungry patrons. The trucks vary by the day and a list of them, as well as the times they will be there can be found at eleventhreebrewing.com.
“I was out there earlier this week on the final walkthrough for the business,” Community Development Administrator Steve Yaney said. “There’s plenty of space for these food trucks to be parked in a location that they won’t interfere with pedestrian traffic, vehicular traffic and (will) meet all the fire department’s guidelines.”
Building owner Bruce Randau was not present at the meeting but sent in a letter expressing his approval. The commission approved the variance for use of trucks unanimously.
Also discussed at the meeting was the development happening at 580 Water Street. On what was previously a single-family residential lot, new owner and developer George Paolucci, of Paolucci Management Company, is looking to construct six buildings with five single-family units per building to rent.
Construction would occur in three phases, with two six-unit buildings going up during in each phase, Paolucci said.
At the moment, the project is still in early development. All that sits on the lot is a large mound of fill dirt, which Paolucci said he has been receiving from the Ohio Ordinance Project with more expected to arrive soon.
