A two-vehicle rollover crash in Bainbridge Township April 27 sent one of the drivers to the hospital with serious injuries, according to the Chardon post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
At around 3:01 p.m., Dustin Pickett, driving a Chevrolet Traverse eastbound on U.S. Route 422, struck the rear end of a Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by Sandra Goglin, also heading eastbound on Route 422, Lt. Larry Jones said in an April 29 press release.
After hitting the Trailblazer, Pickett’s vehicle hit a guardrail and overturned, Jones said.
Pickett, 26, of Jamestown, N.Y., was not wearing his seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle, according to the release, which added Goglin, 78, of Chagrin Falls, was not injured.
Pickett was transported to Cleveland MetroHealth Medical Center with serious injuries, the patrol said in the release.
“It is unknown at this time whether speed or alcohol played a role in this crash,” Jones said, adding the investigation is still ongoing.
