New Banner Unveiled
Drivers traveling down state Route 306 past West Geauga High School may notice something new and impossible to miss. An oversized banner now hangs on the exterior, celebrating two major accomplishments: West Geauga’s overall 5-Star rating and its recognition as the #2 Ranked High School (out of 764) in the state of Ohio.
The banner is more than just a display. It is a statement. It reflects the hard work of the students, the dedication of the staff and the unwavering support of the families and community. Each star symbolizes excellence and a reminder of what the district can accomplish together.
The new banner does not just mark a moment in time, it inspires the achievements still to come.
Wolverine Winter Warm Up
West Geauga opened its doors to the community to kick off the winter sports season with the Wolverine Winter Warm Up. An estimated 500–600 guests attended the celebration, enjoying games organized by student-athletes, raffles, fundraisers, food trucks, concessions and spirit shop merchandise. The evening was highlighted by a band performance and introductions of the winter teams. Through the generosity of the community, the district collected over 50 toys for the Chester Township Police Department’s Operation Santa Sleigh to benefit families in need this holiday season.
Thank you to the many volunteers and staff whose hard work made the event a success. Best of luck to all the winter athletes on a fantastic season ahead.
OMEA District VII Honors Choir
The West Geauga High School Choir Department had five students accepted for the OMEA District VII Honors Choir. The elite ensembles included singers from 31 schools across the Cleveland area and were led by collegiate and professional guest conductors. The three-day experience concluded with a full concert showcase.
