State of Schools Planned
West Geauga Local Schools will host a State of the Schools meeting for the community at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, at West Geauga Middle School. The event will celebrate the district’s accomplishments, share its progress and look ahead.
Superintendent Nancy Benincasa also invites community members to join her for a series of casual coffee hours. Designed as informal question-and-answer sessions rather than structured presentations, the gatherings offer residents an opportunity to ask questions, share feedback and learn more about the district.
Coffee hours are scheduled from 8 to 9 a.m. on the following dates:
Wednesday, Nov. 18, at DS Cakes, 11130 Kinsman Road, Newbury.
Thursday, Nov. 19, at Victoria’s Bakery, 12725 Woodside Drive, Chesterland.
Friday, Nov. 20, at Coffee Post, 12626 Chillicothe Road, Chesterland.
Middle School Musical
The cast and crew of West Geauga Middle School’s production of “How to Train Your Dragon Jr.” the musical recently staged three performances.
The district praised the students’ costumes, sets and performances, which brought the story to life on stage.
Officials credited the cast, the crew and everyone involved for the production’s success.
First Den Dinner Held
West Geauga Local Schools recently hosted its first Family Den Dinner, a dedicated evening free from homework and school-sponsored extracurricular activities.
Organized by the District Wellness Committee, the initiative was created to give busy families an opportunity to slow down and spend time together, whether that meant cooking a meal side by side, sharing takeout around the table or enjoying a family activity.
Local businesses partnered with the district on the event.
District officials said they enjoyed seeing Wolverine families connect and are already looking forward to bringing everyone together again for the next Den Dinner this spring.
