Art Club Rocks

Students that participated in Art Club at Notre Dame Elementary made some larger than life guitars that were inspired by the guitars in downtown Cleveland. Students came up with clever and unique designs and painted these cardboard guitars with acrylic paint.

They added some realistic touches by using bottle caps for the volume and tuning knobs and fishing line for guitar strings. Forty students participated in art club ranging from third grade to eighth grade.

NDES Science Fair

On Jan. 23, the Notre Dame Elementary School had their 16th annual science fair. This was the largest one ever, with 221 students and 84 judges. The judges were parents, teachers and volunteers from the community.

Students in grades 6-8 are required to enter the fair. It is optional for students in grades one through five, and there were 67 students from that division.

Nine students have the opportunity to participate in the Northeastern Ohio Science and Engineering Fair at John Carroll University on March 4-7. The students who will represent Notre Dame Elementary are Harison Bhanoo, Tara Soria, Nic Robert, Megan Ha, Zach Corkwell, Leah Walsh, Anthony Clemente, Ethan Yeung and Michael Czaja.
