122nd Army Band Concert

Kenston Schools is pleased to host the Ohio Army National Guard’s 122nd Army Band, Ohio’s premier military music ensemble. They will perform a free concert in the Kenston High School auditorium, 9500 Bainbridge Road in Chagrin Falls on June 30 at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.

For nearly 60 years, the Ohio National Guard’s 122nd Army Band has been a staple of the musical tradition of the United States military in Ohio. Members from every corner of the state and beyond are charged with carrying out the mission of increasing troop morale and maintaining the vital link between the public and the Ohio Army National Guard. The 122nd performs in dozens of concerts, ceremonies and other functions each year.

Band members spend a significant amount of time during the year preparing a summer performance schedule, all while only assembling as a unit for one weekend a month and for two weeks in the summer. Yet, the band still performs a repertoire that allows the audience to hear the full breath of talent of the 122nd’s members in a concert setting.

A full list of the band’s upcoming performances can be found on the band’s website at www.122ndarmyband.com.
