Animal Problem
April 25
8:20 a.m., Brakeman Road, Hambden. Lake County received the call and relayed to us. Sick, aggressive raccoon under the porch. His kids cannot get off the porch to get to the end of the road to catch the bus. Animal dispatched one round. Health department notified.
Burglary
April 19
6:13 p.m., Sycamore Road, Munson. Caller states someone broke into his residence and stole a firearm. Report taken.
Citizen Assist
April 19
10:55 a.m., Fowlers Mills Road, Munson. Eighty-four-year-old female is hearing something in her basement, something like a big motor. Responded to location and checked the basement. Everything checked OK; dehumidifier was running. Cleared IR only.
Citizen Dispute
April 22
11:52 a.m., Forest Road, Claridon. Property owner is giving the township road department problems. Owner is saying they cannot use the gravel they have. Kept peace. Assisted township workers and resident with resolution.
April 23
11:39 a.m., Treadway Drive, Munson. Driveway is off Bradford. Neighbors put up a tarp fence, with eight signs facing the caller. They have mutual agreements papers. Civil matter. Advice given.
Suspicious
April 20
11:48 p.m., Old State Road, Claridon. Flashes in the sky and a lot of booms. Would like the area checked. Caller from Old State Road states she has heard over a dozen explosions and it is shaking the house.
April 21
1:17 a.m., Claridon Troy Road, Troy. Possible body in the roadway. There was also a knife sticking out of it. They arent sure if it is a dummy and it is in the middle of the roadway. Caller did get out of the vehicle and it is a dummy. Clothing stuffed with straw to resemble a human. Knife in torso and covered in ketchup to resemble blood. Dummy was picked up and will be disposed of.
1:43 a.m., Auburn Road, Chardon. Two vehicles at Chardon Township Park. Unknown if anyone is around. It looks like they have been vandalized with ketchup, mustard, bananas, bologna and what appears to be flour. Vehicles have interior and exterior damage. Message left at owners residences.
April 22
4:10 p.m., Cutts Road, Hambden. Senior Cut Day for Chagrin Falls is tomorrow and they will be drinking and partying at the above address most the night according to a teacher that reported it to the patrolman. Checked area and spoke to a subject who stated she and her friend were at a camp out. They were advised to lower the music and keep the noise down. They stated they would. I will continue to check the area during the night.
April 23
12:11 p.m., Caves Road, Chester. My daughter is 21 and she was involved in an incident in Shaker Heights. This was yesterday sometime. I have information about a house in Chesterland and I want the police to investigate it. Possibly bath salts and K2 in the house. Drinking cups and papers in the house say your gonna die and I will have you followed and killed. Caller has GPS on his wifes car and on my daughters car. I need this investigated. I dont want the Chester police handling this; I want the sheriffs office to investigate.
Theft
April 22
6:09 p.m., Ravenna Road, Newbury. Caller reporting his daughter is all strung out on heroin and has been stealing from people; she needs help and needs to be caught. Yesterday she allegedly stole $750 from the person that runs Luckys Stop and Go. She has been stealing from her father and everyone she knows to support her drug habit. Recently she has been hanging out with girl, unknown last name. They have been staying with either her mom in Burton or other people in Kiwanis Lake. Male wanted to report a theft, but was advised he cannot file a report for a third party. Deputy will go to Luckys and see if they had filed a report or wish to.
Threatening
April 21
2:36 p.m., Elm Drive, Newbury. Just approached by three white males in a red Grand Am about buying marijuana. They punched me in the face. Car left area, but they could still be in the area selling. UTL on complainant. No one at basketball court observed an altercation.
Traffic Offense
April 20
8:16 p.m., View Drive, Newbury. Pickup truck entirely encased in mud and dirt is doing burnouts up and down the hill in front of the Kiwanis Lake beach. They will leave the area and can be heard ripping around the lake and then return and do the same thing. UTL.
