Collaborative Video Project
As part of collaboration between social studies and technology, eighth-grade students at Notre Dame Elementary School are creating a documentary, playing the role of an indentured servant recruiter, or a professional crimp.
The students’ task is to sell one region of the 13 British colonies in North America to people throughout Europe looking for opportunity and a new life. Their videos will be used as how-to guides to help new indentured servants learn the ropes in their new region.
