Geraldine S. Adams
MONTVILLE TWP. Geraldine S. (nee Sorenson) Adams, of Montville Township, died Nov. 14, 2013, at University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center, with her sons, daughter, two grandchildren and husband all by her side. She was 81.
Born July 7, 1932, in Elsinore, Utah, to Max L. and Bertha (nee Torgenson) Sorenson, she had been a longtime area resident.
Gerre was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, during which time she had many callings. Her current and favorite was staff genealogist at the Kirtland Family History Center, a position she held for more than 25 years.
Gerre loved helping others trace their family history as well as continuing to trace her family. She was able to trace as far back as the year 500a.d.
Her greatest love was for her family.
Gerre enjoyed flea marketing, worked along with her husband at the Phillip W. Adams Insurance Agency and also worked for the U.S. Post Office.
She was a member of the AMVets Auxiliary Post 1968 in Montville.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Phillip Adams, of Montville; daughter, Victoria Tori (Donald) Hartman, of E. Claridon; former daughter-in-law, Kathy Adams, of South Carolina; sons, Kirk (Debbie Roy), of E. Claridon, and Chad (Terrie), of Roaming Shores; and grandchildren, Brandy, Kailey and Max Adams, Megan Hartman and Kelsey Adams.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and children Valerie, Rex and Keith Adams.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Nov. 19 at the Chardon Branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of LDS, 12455 Merritt Road, Munson Township, with burial following at E. Claridon Cemetery.
Visitation was 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Nov. 18 at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon.

Robert J. Blewett
THOMPSON TWP. Robert J. Blewett, of Thompson Township, died Nov. 15, 2013, at his home. He was 56.
Born April 4, 1957, in Chardon to John and Beverly (nee Bond) Blewett, he had been a lifelong area resident.
Bob was the owner/operator of RJ Trucking and member of the Laborers Union Local #860.
He was a family man and known as one of the nicest people youd meet.
His greatest joy was his children.
Survivors include his wife, Melissa (nee Oliver), of Thompson; children, Anthony, Andrew and Brooke Blewett; sister, Lori (JP) Lawson, of Eastlake; brother, Bill (Bobbi), of Leroy; and many extended family.
His parents preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Nov. 22 at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon, with burial to follow at Chardon Municipal Cemetery.
Visitation is 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Nov. 22 at the funeral home.

Jackie A. Day
CHARDON Jackie A. Day, of Chardon, passed away Nov. 18, 2013, at University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center. He was 80.
Born Feb. 13, 1933 in Logan, W.Va., he had been a longtime area resident.
Jackie served with the U.S. Marine Corps during Korea.
He worked for GM in Euclid, retiring in 1986.
He is survived by his wife, Betty (nee Chafin), of Chardon; son, Jackie Jack, of Chardon; daughter, Doretta Dodie, of Orwell; step-daughter, Janet Kula, of Iowa; many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Private family services were held, with burial in Chardon Municipal Cemetery.
