Sixth-Grade Energy Lab

In Miss Nikki Koplow’s science class, students are learning about potential and kinetic energy, forces and work. In the lab, students are assembling ramps and using differing marbles to determine the relationship between weight, size and work.

Spelling Bee Champion

Congratulations go to sixth-grader John Pawlikowski for being the school’s geography bee and spelling bee champion. John went on to represent the school at the Geauga County Catholic School Bee held at Notre Dame Elementary School on Jan. 16.

Jump Rope for Heart

Notre Dame students in grades K-8 raised $3,643 for the American Heart Association by participating in the Jump Rope for Heart competition.

All money raised will be used to help fund research to help children with cardiovascular problems.

Third-Grade Recorder Program

Third-graders taught by Sr. Mary Donnalee Resar have been learning the fundamentals of music as they learn to play the recorder. The students participate in an after school program once a week. They recently held a concert to share what they have learned since September.
