ANIMAL PROBLEM

June 16

7:44 p.m., Creighton Lane, Auburn. Neighbor is making threats to shoot the caller’s dog. He had to take his own dog to the vet due to injuries. Dog warden called into dispatch after receiving call. She is calling the complainant directly. Deputy advised. Caller reported her dog was attacked by the neighbor’s dog. Her dog is still in the hospital due to the attack.

June 18

1:32 p.m., Claridon Troy Road, Burton. There is a dog in a silver SUV and it has been there since 1 p.m. It is parked in the grass near the big parking lot. Deputy advised. Spoke with campus security; stated the owner of the vehicle is one of the instructors at the campus. Security was unaware the dog was in the car. Security will speak with the owner. Vehicle is parked in the shade and all of the windows are open to allow air flow through the vehicle.

BURGLARY

June 13

6:12 p.m., Longview Drive, Newbury. Need to report a break in at my rental home. Someone has been staying here; there is stuff in the house. Front door was wide open. Last renters moved out a couple of weeks ago and I came here to clean it up and found this. Deputy advised. Not a burglary. Previous tenants have not yet removed all their property and will be doing so over the next couple of days. Landlords spoke with their tenants and have worked the matter out.

CITIZEN’S ASSIST

June 19

12:34 p.m., GAR Highway, Hambden. Caller sent a check to the GAR Highway address to purchase a puppy and the check has been cashed, although he said he wouldn’t cash it until a litter of puppies were born. I have no puppy and he won’t answer his phone. Caller was advised to call her local police department, but became argumentive and said they would not take a report. Complainant would like a return call.

DISORDERLY

June 14

5:21 p.m., Main Market Road, Troy. Caller states there are four aluminum canoes with roughly three people in each. They have been drinking and dumping their beer cans in the river. The caller believes they started at Eldon Russel Park and will exit the water at the Iron Horse. They are acting belligerent. Deputy advised. Spoke to the Iron Horse manager who stated he will keep an eye out for the people. He said he will speak to them about their behavior.

JUVENILE PROBLEM

June 15

8:07 p.m., Mayfield Road, Claridon. Complainant has recently yelled at a young unlicensed female that has been observed driving around the park at a high rate of speed. The park manager confronted the female and her parents asking them to keep her off the roads. The young girl just came to the residence screaming and yelling at the complainant and attempted to swing at her. Female left the area on foot.

June 16

1:34 a.m., Roryanna Drive, Chardon. There are some juveniles in the area that were ringing the door bell. They also thought they heard them around the garage main door. They do not need to speak with the deputy unless there is a problem. They would just like the house and street checked. They did not see how many, what they were wearing or which direction they went. Deputy checked area and the house.

SUSPICIOUS

June 14

10:09 a.m., Claridon Troy Road, Claridon. Report of a suspicious complaint. Deputy spoke with complainant, who advised his front windshield was struck by a metal object he thought could have been from a pellet gun while he was travelling on Claridon Troy yesterday. I observed the object and determined it was a ball bearing. He also stated this happened when vehicles were passing him going the opposite direction. Given the circumstances, this appeared to be a result of road debris hitting his front windshield and there was no other evidence to suggest this was a result of a criminal activity at this time.

THEFT

June 13

11;39 a.m., Chardon Road, Chardon. Caller states her worker at Little Eagle caught a male stealing from the store. He has done this before and is no longer on scene. She has videotapes of him stealing and would like to make a report.

June 17

6:46 p.m., Plank Road, Thompson. Theft of a bulldozer. He advised this is the second theft this week. No suspects. Caller could not give any description of the bulldozer. All he advised was it was very old.
